Water Pressure Switch Adjustment
Water Pressure Switch Adjustment How to Adjust a Water Pressure Switch 1 Remove the access panel. The access panel will usually be on the back of the appliance. You may need to unscrew a few screws to pop it off or you may be able to just pull it off. In some cases, there will not be a cover on the panel. 2 Find the heater. If there is a heating system connected to this unit, you will need to find the heater. It will look like a long tube with a control box attached to it. It's difficult to miss as the only other items beneath this panel are the pipes and the pump. If there is no heater, the water pressure switch will be located directly after the pump on a pipe. The pressure switch itself is a round pipe of tube that threads directly into the heater tube itself, or the main pipe coming from the pump. 3 Remove the cap on the pressure switch. Unscrew it in a counter-clockwise motion by clamping on your locking pliers and turning. The pressure switch adjustment screw will be directly under that cap. 4 Turn the adjustment screw to fit your needs. Insert your flat-bladed screw into the adjustment screw. Turning it clockwise reduces the pressure to the nozzles, turning it counter clockwise increases the pressure to the nozzles. Adjust as needed. Check the pressure by either feeling it with your hand whether you notice a difference, or if it is a spray type of unit like a sprinkler, notice if there is a difference in how far the stream of water shoots out. Once you are done, replace the cap and the control panel cover. |
